To all our Copse in a Box (CiaB) participants and anyone with an interest in growing native woodland trees, please enjoy taking a look at our official CiaB map.

CiaB is our exciting initiative to encourage people across England to start their own community tree nurseries. This map tracks the number of CiaB tree nurseries that have been founded since CiaB was launched earlier this year.

CiaB is so far proving to be a great success, with over 350 communities up and down the country now taking part.

Burlington Junior School

Thank you Burlington Juniors for sharing your latest CiaB updates on Twitter. It is great seeing so many pupils across years 3-6 engaging in seed gathering and planting. We wish you every success with your community tree nursery. Please continue to share photos!

The boxes you sent me are starting to do their work. Years 4 and 5 went on a forage in the forest and collected acorns and conkers. On their return, the nuts were viability tested and planted. We are expecting they will all be able to take a tree home when they leave at the end of year 6.

May I add, as a Tree Warden, how impressed I was with the children's awareness of the importance of trees.
