In 2023, 400 dedicated Dartmoor Classic Cyclists made a choice that truly stands out. Instead of opting for the traditional goodie bag, they made a powerful statement by choosing to plant a tree on the stunning Dartmoor landscape.
The Dartmoor Classic Cycle Sportive is a challenge for all cyclists, with a range of distances each encompassing the beauty of Dartmoor and those famous hills! It was to our great delight that each entrant into this challenge was given the option to receive a goodie bag on completion or alternatively, to support Moor Trees.
Zoe Partridge, Fundraising Manager for Moor Trees said "We were overjoyed to learn that there were 400 cyclists who opted to support our mission, to grow and plant native woodlands on Dartmoor in response to the climate and nature crisis. For each woodland planted, a new habitat comes to life and there are huge benefits for both people and planet. The impact of this tree planting will last for generations and we are so grateful for the support".
