Moor Trees is celebrating a highly successful tree planting season, made possible in part by the acquisition of a new Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck. A generous £15,000 grant from NatureSave Trust, which is funded by the activities of Naturesave Insurance an ethical insurance broker, funded this vital addition to the organisation’s resources.

The new truck has already proven integral to our day-to-day operations. It is used extensively for transporting volunteers and equipment between our two tree nursery sites, towing our trailer and accessing woodlands for seed collecting and habitat monitoring. Over the tree planting season (November – April) it has been in constant use, transporting saplings, kit and people to planting sites across Dartmoor, so much so that only recently has there been an opportunity to apply the new branded livery!
Dave Lewis, Operations Manager at Moor Trees, emphasised the truck’s importance: “The truck is absolutely vital for the smooth running of our operations. It allows us to efficiently manage our two tree nursery sites, transport our dedicated volunteers and get equipment and trees to some pretty challenging planting locations. We are incredibly grateful to NatureSave Insurance for their support.”
