Moor Trees works with a range of businesses and individuals who are keen to support our work restoring native woodland. As well as the benefits increased tree cover can have in terms of carbon capture there are plenty of others too including flood management, improving air quality and creating vibrant and healthy habitats for nature to thrive.
We have a big ambition to realise a third of Dartmoor with tree coverage and we are aiming to see 10 million additional trees take root on Dartmoor and the surrounding area by 2050.
This is equivalent to covering approximately one third of Dartmoor with native woodland and woodland pasture.
This woodland, once mature, will have the potential to absorb hundreds of millions of kilograms of carbon annually.
Moor Trees does not participate in carbon sequestration projects under the Woodland Carbon Code and your donation will not generate formal offsets. The woodlands our partnership creates will mitigate climate change, create vital habitats for wildlife and provide places for people to enjoy for generations to come.
Make sure you also pay attention to the other side of the balance by doing everything you can to reduce the emissions produced in the conduct of your business or lifestyle.
