For lovers of trees, nature, the environment, biodiversity and, most of all, native woodlands, our new ‘Moor Trees Blog’ has arrived. Over the last few years, Moor Trees has been on an incredible journey, which has offered us the extraordinary privilege of transforming Dartmoor and South Devon by reforesting over 90 ha of land with broadleaf native woodlands.
This has given us a wealth of experience in the planning and planting of woodlands, a huge amount of knowledge about broadleaf woodland tree species and how to care for them, and a deep appreciation for the critically important work of restoring native woodlands, increasing biodiversity, and mitigating carbon use to reduce the impact of climate change, not to mention it has also been a great pleasure connecting people with their forest heritage. With this in mind, we will now be posting monthly updates on our projects, events, tree-growing tips and techniques, environmental research and discoveries, and any other news we think you will enjoy reading about to share our experiences with you.
OUR GROWING TEAM
This month, we would like to announce the arrival of a few new staff members who have recently joined our team. New arrivals include:

- Frances Tophill, Seasonal Tree Nursery Assistant
- Gabriele Warwick, Seasonal Tree Nursery Assistant
- Sasha Georgiades, Temporary Tree Nursery Assistant

As you can see, our team is thriving and has more than doubled in size in the last few months. Our new staff have joined Adam Owen, Director of Moor Trees, Annie Talbot, Tree Nurseries and Woodland Manager, and Brian Daniel, Operations Officer, who are all thrilled by our new arrivals’ charisma, enthusiasm for their work, and the impact they have already made at Moor Trees.
